How is custom ODM different from private label?
Private label / OEM = our existing stock body + your branding. Fast, no tooling, lower cost, great for launch. Custom ODM = your body shape and lid engineered from scratch (we tool a new mold). Longer and adds tooling cost, but the mold is YOURS — competitors can't order the same bottle from us.
Do I own the mold and design you develop?
Yes. The mold engineered from your concept is your IP. We store CAD in a project-isolated folder, never reused for another buyer. NDA signed on day one. We never sell, share, or list your design without written permission.
How much does tooling cost, and is it refundable?
Typical ranges: body mold $1,500–$4,000, lid mold $3,000–$8,000, handle mold $2,500–$5,000 — confirmed per project after CAD. Tooling is refundable against bulk volume on a committed program, so it amortizes as you scale.
Can I send a CAD file, or only a sketch?
Both work. Send a finished CAD/STEP file and we go straight to manufacturability review. Or send a hand sketch and our engineers build the 3D model with you. Either way you approve a 3D-print proof before steel is cut.
What materials and capacities can you custom-tool?
304 and 316 food-grade stainless, Tritan, glass, and recycled options; capacities roughly 8–128oz; single-wall or double-wall vacuum. Custom lid mechanisms, handles, and finishes all in scope.
What is the bulk MOQ after a custom mold is tooled?
50 pieces per SKU minimum once the mold exists, same as our stock floor. Most custom programs scale into the hundreds and thousands, which is where tooling cost amortizes and per-unit pricing drops.
How do you protect my design from being copied?
NDA before you share a concept. CAD and tooling stored in project-isolated folders, never in shared libraries. Sample shipments use plain packaging. We never display your brand in our case studies without permission.
